The Little Hands of Asphalt

Little Hands of Asphalt

Lazy Acre Records recommended me to give The Little Hands of Asphalt a listen. This is the Norwegian Sjur Lyseid’s solo project.

You know to be honest with you, I’m starting to get tired of this whole folk scene. Every band coming out seems to be folk these days. I’ve skipped over countless bands as soon as I saw that as a description of the band. Lazy Acre Records is lucky they didn’t describe Sjur’s music as folk I guess. Despite my growing indifference to folk, I’m digging his ep, Split Back at the Rain.

After listening to it again, I realized what he sort of sounds like. Sjur reminds me a little of Her Space Holiday. They have similar voices. But don’t take my word for it.

By the way, The Little Hands of Asphalt had a link on their site so you can download their ep for free. I put it on this post for you guys. Enjoy.
